You have many opportunities to be your best, but only one to be your worst.

I suddenly appreciate the "Please", "Thank You", and "My Pleasure" courtesy of Chick Fil A after an experience my wife had at restaurant this weekend. After the Gasparilla Art festival, my wife and I stopped to get a bite at an unnamed restaurant in the process of expansion. At the outside entrance were 2 ladies grimacing, At the time, I did not know they were restaurant employees. We walked in to place an order. No one was at the counter. After 2 minutes, one of the grimace girls from outside walked in. No welcome, hi, or smile, just a monotone “What Can I Get You”. This was a lost opportunity for a restaurant in growth mode. The art festival was great, the area was packed. I will not mention the name of the restaurant but I will never go back. Your business has many opportunities to impress because they are continuous, but only one opportunity to disappoint because once a customer is lost they have moved to a competitor.
