Hypergrowth for CTV in 2020. What will 2021 Bring?



I post to share knowledge. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are not my strong suit. Sometimes I get lucky and find an article that aligns with many of my posts. These articles are written better, make the point quicker, and paint a better picture than short posts. Here is a very solid article on CTV in 2020. I am looking forward to 2021.

Eventually, all TV will be streamed, and all TV ads would be streamed. This prediction is quickly being fulfilled.


Disney, NBCUniversal, Warner Media, and Viacom CBS all announced major reorganizations.


­According to a recent Harris Poll, the average American spends more time watching streaming than linear. One in three households have cut the cord.


Between January and April, the reach of Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) services in the US rose by 5% while the reach of Ad-Supported Video on Demand (AVOD) rose by 9% to 58.5 million households.


Pluto TV – Viacom | CBS saw the number of monthly active users spike 55% from 2019. November, Pluto reached 28.4 million.


Fox-owned Tubi’s monthly active users spiked 57% to 33 million AUG 2020, a 65% YOY increase.
