26% of the U.S. Trusts the media. That is lower than any other country in the world.


People have their own worldview and they just may want their daily news to fit ideology, mindset, value-system. The US has the lowest media trust in the world down to 26% according to the Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2022. Link to article https://bit.ly/3nLG8lA


I do wonder if media skepticism in the U.S. has anything to do with the large void that social media fills. My guess is it does.

31% Facebook

22% YouTube

13% Twitter

11% Instagram

and there are also other social sites.


It is easy to let social media amplify your thoughts. It is disappointing to see trust and media fall to 26% this should be a warning to media companies and those that are heavily influenced by social outlets on the web
