Growth doesn’t always come from adding more. Sometimes it comes from getting really good at what you’ve already decided matters and having the discipline to say no to everything else.
Sometimes the best way to grow is to stop adding things.
We’re constantly told to expand.
Add another service.
Chase another opportunity.
Find another revenue stream.
But every time you say yes to something new, you’re also deciding where to spend your time, attention and energy.
And those are finite.
I have several friends who are always encouraging me to expand into other forms of media.
My response is usually the same:
Stop telling me to do more. I’ve found my lane. It is CTV
I can add search, social, YouTube and other services...
But I have intentionally chosen not to.
What I’ve figured out in my 62 laps around the sun is that I’m better when I’m focused.
I understand my business better. I have more time for my clients. I can actually work on their campaigns instead of just managing a growing list of services.
Growth doesn’t always come from adding more.
Sometimes it comes from getting really good at what you’ve already decided matters.
And having the discipline to say no to everything else.
