Pro sporting team fun facts By Team revenue, roster size, Avg Player salary. the numbers may surprise you
Last night’s hockey game between the Vegas Golden Knights and theCarolina Hurricanes was absolutely insane.
I love watching professional sports on TV, and throughout my 40-year career in media, I’ve also been lucky enough to sell them all. Naturally, I look at the game a bit differently.
Currently, in my Connected TV (CTV) business, we have access to all major livesports, but only in limited quantities.
Quick note, Many CTV Vendors/Sellers claim to have exclusive access to live sports inventory. That is absolutely not true. Across the CTV landscape, we all have access to roughly the same inventory, which means none of us has access to everything. The Good news, every year, CTV Sports supply gets better.
Aside from being a massive sports fan, I’m also a fan of staying curious.
While watching the ice last night, I started wondering about the underlying math of the big four sports leagues.
Before you look at the breakdown below, take a mental guess. Who do you think makes the most on average between the NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA?
The math surprised me.
