I do realize that sounds ridiculous but keep reading and if you dont want to read that is fine but watch this 5 minute video.
It will either move you or you have a heart of stone.
Last night, I turned on the TV, and my display opened up a massive grid of apps (I have them all from being in the CTV business).
As I flipped through recommendations, I landed on an episode of America’s Got Talent, a show I rarely watch.
Following an unskippable commercial break (CTV plug), a spoken-word poet named Brandon Leake took the stage.
Normally, I would have changed the channel. A show I don’t follow, poetry (not my thing). The judges seemed just as skeptical.
But then, he spoke.
The moment the words left his mouth, he completely arrested attention.
It was raw stage presence, an explosion of clarity, positivity, devotion to his craft…
He was drawing directly from real, gritty life experiences to tell a story that connected with everyday people.
As soon as his first poem ended, I immediately searched for his other performances.
I didn’t just want to watch more; I had a strong urge to share what I just experienced. That’s why I’m writing this now.
Once something clicks, either emotionally or intellectually, the brain automatically pulls itself deeper into the narrative.
That is the precise moment passion and brand alignment are born.
The greatest marketers, creators, innovators, and leaders don't just sell a product or service.
They break through the noise to introduce their audience to profound possibilities they didn't even know existed.
You don’t know what you haven’t seen until you see it.
This isn't an endorsement for Brandon Leake. I don't know anything about him beyond the few minutes I watched. I do know this: in a matter of a few minutes, a screen introduced me to a perspective I didn't know I was missing, and I walked away entirely inspired.
