Peacock trying to soar, it's taking off but viewers are opting for the ad-supported free version

According to an article in Variety 2% of U.S. Adults subscribe to the paid Peacock tier and 10% subscribe to the ad-supported version. Never underestimate the power of free.

It does look like Peacock is trying to drive subscriptions through the acquisition of popular content. Just announced, Peacock will become the exclusive home of WWE According to sources, it’s a five-year deal worth more than $1 billion

WWE on Peacock will only be available on the paid tier for $4.99 per month which includes or $9.99/month no-commercials. I bet the lower tier wins.
