I will not bash the Emmy or any awards shows running on traditional TV. What I will say is...


Traditional networks give up 2-3 hours of prime time & tons of promos for shows seen on Streaming & Cable

There is a strange paradox going on with annual Award Shows. These shows are still seen as tentpole events for traditional networks (they are not), and they gladly devote 2-3 of their most valuable hours in prime time and tons of promos. Lately, traditional networks do all of this to promote programs that are seen on Streaming or Cable.
